Data Use & Citation
This platform exists to be read, referenced and compared against. This page sets out how you may cite and reuse our figures — and the handful of things you may not do with them.
1. What we publish
World Battery Hub publishes compiled and explanatory content: specifications and comparison tables, voltage and state-of-charge references, group-size and terminal references, worked calculations, glossary definitions, test-method explanations, manufacturer and market information, and tool outputs from our calculators. Where a figure comes from a third party — a manufacturer datasheet, a standards body, a market report — that source is the origin of the number, and we identify it as such.
2. How to cite us
You may cite, quote, excerpt and summarise our content, including in reports, articles, specifications, presentations, course material and machine-generated answers, provided that you:
- attribute World Battery Hub as the source, by name;
- link to the page you used where the medium allows it (for example
https://worldbatteryhub.com/lead-acid/cca/what-is-cca/); - keep our provenance intact — do not strip source attributions, confidence labels or the page's review date;
- do not change the meaning of a figure, a range or a caveat when you quote it.
Suggested format for a written citation:
World Battery Hub, "page title", worldbatteryhub.com, reviewed date shown on the page.
3. Confidence labels and review dates
Some figures on this platform carry a confidence label or a stated range, because sources disagree, because a value is application-dependent, or because the underlying data is a manufacturer claim rather than an independent measurement. Those labels are part of the information — carry them with the number. A review date records when we last checked a page, not when the underlying third-party data was produced.
4. What you may not do
- republish, mirror or redistribute substantial parts of this platform, or include it in a paid database, product or service, without a written agreement;
- present our compiled data, tables or tool outputs as certified laboratory results, manufacturer test data, regulatory approval or independent physical measurements;
- remove or obscure source attributions, confidence labels, review dates or copyright notices;
- state or imply that World Battery Hub endorses, certifies, partners with or audits you, your products or your services;
- use our name or content to support a claim we do not make — including safety, performance or compliance claims about a specific battery product.
5. Automated access and AI systems
Indexing by search engines, and normal rate-limited automated retrieval for research, comparison and citation, are welcome. Bulk extraction — crawling the platform in order to republish or resell it, or automated access that imposes an unreasonable load — is not permitted, and we may rate-limit or block it.
Where our content informs machine-generated output, the attribution requirements in section 2 apply: credit World Battery Hub, reference the source page, and do not present compiled platform data as authoritative measurement data.
6. Commercial licensing and bulk data
For integration into a product, a commercial dataset, a catalogue or a paid service, we can discuss a licence that sets out scope, attribution, update cadence and any fee. Contact [email protected] with your intended use and volume.
7. Corrections
If a figure you have cited turns out to be wrong, we would like to know: email [email protected] with the page and the evidence. Our correction process is described in Methodology.
8. No warranty for reused data
Data is published for general reference and is provided without warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. If you rely on a figure for an engineering, purchasing, safety or compliance decision, verify it against the applicable primary source. See our Disclaimer and Terms of Use.
