Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of worldbatteryhub.com and its sub-sites. By accessing or using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. Purpose of this website
World Battery Hub publishes battery knowledge and data: technology explanations, specifications, comparison tables, calculators, glossary entries, testing and standards references, manufacturer and market information, and related content for engineers, buyers, students and researchers.
Where a sub-site is operated on a separate domain (for example our data, technology, testing, manufacturer or market sub-sites), these terms apply to it unless that sub-site publishes its own terms.
2. Permitted use
You may:
- read, browse and print pages for your own internal, professional or educational use;
- quote, excerpt or summarise our content — including in reports, articles, specifications and presentations — provided you attribute World Battery Hub as the source and, where practical, link to the page you used;
- use our published figures with the source and any confidence label intact;
- link to any page of this platform.
3. Prohibited use
You may not:
- republish, resell, mirror or redistribute substantial parts of this platform, or offer it as a substitute for accessing it (including in a paid database or behind a login);
- remove, obscure or alter source attributions, confidence labels, review dates or copyright notices;
- present our content, figures or data as certified laboratory results, manufacturer test data, regulatory approval, or your own original research;
- state or imply that World Battery Hub endorses, certifies, partners with or audits you, your products or your services, without our prior written agreement;
- use automated means to access the site in a way that imposes an unreasonable load, circumvents access controls, or extracts the platform in bulk for republication;
- use the site for any unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing purpose, or in a way that interferes with other users' access.
4. Automated access, indexing and AI systems
Search-engine indexing and normal, rate-limited automated access for research and citation are welcome. Bulk extraction for republication, or automated access that degrades the service, is not — and we may rate-limit, block or require an agreement for such access.
Where you cite or summarise our content in machine-generated output, the same attribution requirements in section 2 apply: credit World Battery Hub and link to the source page. Do not present our compiled data as authoritative physical measurements, and do not drop confidence labels where we provide them.
5. Intellectual property
This platform's content — explanatory text, comparison tables, calculators, compiled datasets, structure, design and code — is owned by or licensed to the operator of World Battery Hub and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. "World Battery Hub" and the platform's visual identity are our marks. Third-party standards, product names, company names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
You receive no licence beyond the permitted use in section 2. For commercial republishing, integration or data-licensing enquiries, contact [email protected].
6. Content accuracy, corrections and change
Our research and correction process is described in Methodology and the limits of what we claim are stated in our Disclaimer. We may add, correct, restructure or withdraw content at any time. Figures published by third parties — including manufacturers and market research — may change after we publish, and a page's review date reflects our last check, not the third party's.
7. No warranty
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that any figure is suitable for your specific application.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of World Battery Hub is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this platform or its content — including loss of profit, business, data or goodwill, equipment or property damage, personal injury, or the cost of substitute information or services.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the content or service giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.
9. Availability and changes to the platform
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the platform — including sub-sites, tools and datasets — at any time and without notice, and we do not guarantee that any URL will remain available or that content will be retained.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation in writing; failing that, the dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at the operator's place of establishment in China. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection right you may have where you live.
If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. This mirrors the severability position stated in the Disclaimer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with the review date above, governs your use of the site.
