What the warranty covers — and does not
The warranty covers the battery failing its design — manufacturing defects and premature failure in correct use. It does not cover the battery used beyond its design: a starting battery deep-cycled in a solar bank, a battery physically damaged, or one killed by sulfation from chronic undercharging. The application and the charging matter more than the defect rate.
