What is an EFB Battery?
EFB stands for Enhanced Flooded Battery. It is still a wet (flooded) lead-acid battery, but with a thicker plate design, a special separator, and an improved active material — all to survive the deep partial cycling of start-stop driving.

Why start-stop needs more than a flooded battery
A start-stop car shuts the engine off at every stop and restarts it constantly. Each restart is a deep discharge on a battery that must then recover quickly before the next stop.
